Hawley Harvest Hoedown

The Downtown Hawley Partnership (DHP) would like you to save the date for the 2023 Hoedown, scheduled for Saturday, September 30th, and Sunday October 1st, 2023

Hawley Harvest Hoedown 2022 was a huge success, and we will continue to find new and exciting events and activities for you. In addition to the shopping, kid’s activities, petting zoo, scarecrow costume contest, live music, Fall Beer Crawl, horse & wagon rides, craft vendors, bluegrass concert, and delicious local foods that make Hoedown a yearly event for so many families we are always on the lookout for more.

In 2022 the DHP and the PA Professional Lumberjack Organization (pplo.org or Facebook) hosted a Professional lumberjack competition in Bingham Park. The lumberjacks and lumberjills  competed and showcased their skills in events such as the standing block and underhand chop, springboard, crosscut, bow saw, chainsaw, log roll, and axe throw. This was a great addition to the 2022 Hoedown and we would like to have them back in 2023.

The DHP is also partnered with Pocono Cornhole, a group out of the Stroudsburg area, for a great Saturday afternoon of cornhole! Pocono Cornhole brought the boards and the competition; YOU brought a partner and your own bags to throw. Best of all…. there were over $2500 in cash prizes awarded! Grab your partner and make plans to compete in the 2023 Hawley Harvest Hoedown Cornhole Tournament.

The 2022 Saturday night Bluegrass Concert musicians were The Lost Ramblers, Uncle Jake and the 18 Wheel Gang, Mark Miklos, Robert Mabe Band and The Feinberg Brothers. What a night it was in Hawley!!

A live performance stage was added in 2022 with many craftspeople demonstrating their talents, live music, and you could learn how to line dance or how to Clog, Appalachian style – many joined in the fun and kicked up their heels and learned some new skills.

The Fall Beer Crawl – always a favorite! Thank you to the many establishments who participated and thank you to the many, many people who enjoyed the taste of Hawley!
