GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® official attempt featured at Night at the Night Museum
Lakeville, PA

For the second year the team of talented artists at Sculpted Ice Works are hosting Night at the Ice Museum, a Fall themed family event featuring festivities for all ages… Rain or Shine! This year, Ice Works is presenting “award winning” ice sculptor Rich Daly in his quest to be the “world’s fastest ice carver!” Watch him attempt an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® record.

The event is two weekends and is sure to be a blast for all ages. Ice carving competitions and pumpkin carving demonstrations will take place. Walk through an extraordinary display of over 100 professionally carved Jack O lanterns while finding your way through the indoor hay maze!   Antler Ridge Winery is providing complimentary wine tasting and wine sales, with admission, for adults over 21. Visit the Harvest Market which features local goods and food and enjoy a cup of warm apple cider by our newly landscaped firepit.  Take a hayride to The Sculpted Ice Works Factory Tour and Ice Harvest Museum.  Learn how ice was used before refrigeration and walk through time and see how crystal clear blocks are made now, and turned into ice sculptures.

Each year Sculpted Ice Works manufactures over 12,000 crystal clear ice carving blocks in their plant, and transforms them into brilliant ice sculptures of all sizes.  Sculpted Ice Works has opened their production facilities for a factory tour and developed a historical Natural Ice Harvest Museum.  Sculpted Ice Works is the major provider of ice blocks, ice carvings, ice bars and liquor luges to the hospitality industry throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Sculpted Ice Works is routinely contracted to create large and creative ice installations for events locally and nationally.

Rich Daly has been carving ice since 2000 and is the President of Ice Melodies Inc located

in Mastic Beach, NY on Long Island creating ice sculptures.  Throughout the winter he travels to local and nationally sanctioned ice carving competitions. Over the last decade, Rich has been recognized as one of the top carvers in the country earning a gold medal at the US National Ice Championships and becoming the US National Speed Ice Carving Champion in 2012. He has won nearly 100 ice carving events across the United States and has received over 40 Medals from National Ice Carving Association.  Rich is also a culinary arts teacher at William Floyd School District on Long Island.

The current GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the world’s fastest ice sculptor is Rich Bubin of Ice Creations in Pennsylvania. Back in 2002, he carved 61 blocks of ice in 4 hours, 22 minutes, and 55 seconds.  Mr. Daly will have to beat that record to be the new title holder.

Event dates are October 19 & 20 and October 25-27. 11- 6 all days. Admission is 12.00/adult and 8.00/child. Admission includes all events and tour of the museum and factory.
