Lake Wallenpaupack is a man-made lake built in 1926 for hydroelectric power. At 13 miles long with 52 miles of shoreline the lake offers a variety of activities.
Wallenpaupack Visitors Center – operated by the Pocono Mountain Visitors bureau, is open daily from 10am – 5pm. The center is located on Route 6, just west of junction of Route 6 & 507 – just up the hill from downtown Hawley.
